Warriors News · Danburg Celebrates 300th Fairview Athletics Broadcast

On Friday, January 22nd, Fairview Senior Tyler Danburg will broadcast the Fairview Boys Basketball games against Buckeye and make his 300th appearance on the airwaves for the Fairview High School Athletic Department. In the Fall of his 8th grade year, Tyler embarked on a journey to create something that had never previously existed in Fairview – a broadcast club dedicated exclusively to the athletes and teams of Fairview High School. This club quickly took off and became the “Fairview Park City School Broadcast Network” or FPCSBN. Over the past 5 years, Tyler and his team – made up of various color commentators, cameramen, statisticians, and other supporters along the way (most recently Connor Canfield of the 2020/2021 edition of FPCSBN) – have brought hundreds of events to the community of Fairview Park and all over Northeast Ohio with the hard work, production value, and professionalism of an advanced television network.

Tyler and FPCSBN have covered events at all levels, from the youngest ages of community youth football through the highest levels of Varsity athletics that Fairview and our neighboring communities have to offer, and everything in between. Say Chris Kaminski, Fairview Park Digital Media teacher and Broadcast Club advisor, “What an amazing accomplishment. I am so proud of what he has created for the FPCSBN and the City fo Fairview.”

Per Joe Dianetti, Fairview High School Athletic Director – “Tyler has been an absolutely invaluable asset to the athletic department over the past five years, but especially in this, his final year at the helm during the pandemic that has forced us to either severely limit, or eliminate all together, the capacity at our athletic events. Without Tyler’s efforts, hundreds of families, friends, and loved ones would not have been able to watch their athletes play this year. He and his team have been an absolutely essential part of the Fairview Athletics experience this year, and I honestly don’t know what we would have done without them.

In addition to athletic events, Tyler has helped with the broadcasting of concerts, board meetings, graduation, and countless other events at the district level – extending his efforts to all areas of the Fairview Park City Schools.

On top of all of these accomplishments, Tyler is a multiple time letter winner in both Soccer and Baseball, earning the Team MVP award in the Fall of 2020 as the Soccer Team’s Goalie and leading the team to a Regional Semifinal appearance in the State Tournament in 2019. In the classroom, Tyler is the Senior Class President, a member of National Honor Society, OHSAA Courageous Student Award Winner, and carries a 4.1 GPA earning him OHSAA Academic All-Ohio Honors.

Thank you, Tyler – from all of us in Fairview and beyond who have enjoyed your work and your growth over the past 5 years. While you will be missed on the mic next year (and for many years to come), we know we will be seeing you elsewhere on the airwaves very soon!
