Per the 8/6 District Update that went out yesterday evening, Fall sports and activities will be permitted to return under safety guidelines and protocols suggested by the Ohio Department of Health and the Cuyahoga County Board of Health. Our sports will begin with the following guidelines in place
Golf, Tennis, Cross Country, Cheer, Drill Team
These groups will begin their season as planned. They may compete against other schools on their schedule and may practice fully on non-game/match days. Coaches of these sports will still be required to complete daily temperature/symptom checks and roster tracking to ensure the safety of all participants. These reports will be submitted daily for competitions and weekly for practices. Updated schedules for Golf, Tennis, and Cross Country will be released soon. Stay tuned to athletic communication channels (website and Twitter) for further updates.
Volleyball, Football, B/G Soccer
These groups may return to practice ONLY under Ohio Department of Health Phase 2 restart guidelines. These guidelines include limiting contact in time, size, and nature, observing social distancing and wearing masks at all times when not participating in drills, and in-depth tracking of symptom checks and sanitation reports. More information on these guidelines can be found at the links below
All scrimmages and any school vs. school competition for these sports will remain postponed until further notice while we continue to evaluate the landscape of the pandemic.
