Warriors News · GLC Girls Tennis Championship Summary


On Wednesday 9/25, the Girl’s Tennis team traveled up the road to Tri-City Park for their first ever Great Lakes Conference Championship. The all day event was a great success for the team under second year head coach Lyndsay Moro and first year assistant coach Lisa Broschk.

The Warriors were lead by a mix of experienced and young players, with all entries contributing to an ultimate 2nd place finish.

Winning their brackets were Junior Samantha Mei in 2nd Singles and Freshman Emma McMonagle. Senior Lauryn Leslie finished runner up in 1st Singles. All three girls earned FIRST TEAM All-Conference Honors for 2019.

The Doubles teams also contributed to the final standings. The pair of Dawn Ohman and Neomi Andrade placed 4th in 1st Doubles and Olivia Miller and Paola Espinoza placed 3rd in 2nd Doubles.

As a whole, the team finished with 24 total team points, just 3 behind the team champion Rocky River, who finished with 27.
