Warriors News · Coyne Sets Game 3-Pointers Record as Girls Basketball Rolls to 3-0

In a 44-14 win over Valley Forge on Wednesday night, Rachel Coyne caught fire from behind the arc. She sunk 7 three-pointers in the contest, totaling 21 points, and broke the record originally set by Erin Carroll in 2004 of 5. The record has been tied many times over the years by a number of players – Katie Smith in 2012, Lindsey Hill in 2017 and even Coyne herself in recent year. Coyne now stands alone at the top of the record books with 7.

Additionally, the team set the team record for 3’s in a game with 11 (adding 2 each from Julia Costas and Lindsey Hill).

The girls are now 3-0 on the year and open PAC play on Saturday at home against Buckeye.
